Benefits of Group Therapy
While it may sound intimidating or uncomfortable, group counseling offers a surprising array of benefits that individual therapy often cannot. Advantages to group therapy include:

Groups typically come together under the guidance of a trained counselor for weekly meetings 2-3 times per week. Group therapy helps you realize that you are not alone, and that the suffering, impulses, and anxieties you may have considered uniquely yours to bear are not so isolating after all.
Knowing that we’re all in this together helps to normalize your experience and to realize that your difficulties need not alienate you from others. Sharing the pain can mean sharing solutions and support as well.
